Welcome to the website of the New Zealand Finance Colloquium
The New Zealand Finance Colloquium was an initiative introduced in 1996 to promote the discussion, dissemination and developement of finance related research within New Zealand. The colloquium is an annual event organised and held at universities throughout the country.
2010 Prize Winners
The 2010 colloquium was hosted by The University of Auckland on February 11 and February 12.
The following prizes were awarded:
- INFINZ Award (best paper in investments) - Jedrzej Bialkowski, Ahmad Etebari,

Piety and Profits: Stock Market Anomaly during the Muslim Holy Month - MED/Treasury/Reserve Bank prize (best paper in capital markets) - Ming-Hua Liu,
Dimitris Margaritis and Alireza Tourani-Rad
Asymmetric Information and Price Competition in Small Business Lending - ISCR Award (best paper in financial regulation) - Amelia Pais and Philip A. Stork

2011 New Zealand Finance Colloquim
The 2011 conference will be hosted by the University of Canterbury in Christchurch on 10-11 February. Details will be announced later this year.
